Farm Town 2 is farming game that sets itself apart from all other farming games by adding in a very interesting and immersive plot to the game. The plot of the game basically revolves around Emily who used to be in the farm but then had to move out of the city to study and during that time the farm began to lose all of its glory but now Emily is back to rebuild the farm and her dad is going to help her out with all of it.
The game starts out by giving you a small cut-scene that gives you a brief idea of the plot and afterwards you’re given a tutorial by Emily’s dad which basically teaches you all of the basics of the game such as how to plant and harvest crops, how to sell your harvests and how to make buildings etc.
The best part about the tutorial is that completing its tasks grants you gems which are basically the premium currency of the game and can be used to purchase some of the premium items and help speed up your farming processes.
The gameplay of Farm Town 2 is very reminiscent of other farming games in the sense where the core formula is basically the same. You have to plant crops, you have to harvest them. You can either sell these harvested crops or utilize them in other things. You can expand your farm by purchasing more land etc. so the core concepts of the game are the same therefore you’ll feel right at home if you’ve played other farm games before.
As for the game’s visual look, Farm Town 2 looks pretty good. The game world, while it may not be the most heavily detailed world out there, has a lot to look at and the colors are extremely bright which makes the game visually pleasing. The country music in the background of the game also makes the farming experience a whole lot better and the sound effects of harvesting your crops are incredibly satisfying.
Going further into the game, there are some social elements that make the gameplay a lot more fun. You can help your friends out with their farms or they can do the same thing with yours which creates a nice sense of community within the game.
It’s no surprise that the game has its fair share of cash shop objects. The premium currency of the game are the gems as mentioned before which can be purchased by paying for them with real world money.
