Farmerama is an award winning farm simulator where as you could guess name, you have to build your farm by planting crops, raising animals and doing other farm related activities. You start out small with not much under your belt but gradually you learn to sow seeds and harvest your crops.
You figure out how to raise your animals and herd them and along with this you also perform multiple other farming tasks as you work to expand your tiny little farm into a gigantic one.
There is an obscene amount of places in farmerama where you can farm and cultivate. This huge game world is one of the core reasons why the game receives such positive feedback from everywhere. The best part is that all the different places have a unique feel to them so none of them feel like a copy-pasted version of the place you were before.
Social interaction is also great as you can gift your friends something from your farm.
While a simple farming simulator would become boring after sometime playing, farmerama does a great job at keeping the player hooked onto the game. You’re constantly given challenges to accomplish and completing these challenges earns you earn very hefty rewards which is great motivation for the players to keep playing on.
Other than this there are also freebies in the game for those who’d like to make minimal effort. One of these freebies includes the farm wheel which you can spin once every day to earn some great prizes.
Perhaps one of the biggest standout points of farmerama is the inclusion of “rare” animal species. The game has things like golden sheep or rainbow colored chickens that can be acquired by completing a given task and they add a whole new flare to your farm. This is a feature that isn’t seen in many other farming simulators and is why the game stands out so much from the crowd.
Speaking from a visual perspective, while farmerama may not have the sharpest looking visuals out there it’s still a fairly good looking game as the animations are very well done and farms can look absolutely gorgeous once they’re fully customized and built. The aforementioned “special” animals like the rainbow sheep or the golden chicken also help the visual department.
Farmerama is free to play, though the game does have a cash shop of its own and where you can purchase some convenient goodies after going through some micro-transactions and while the items in the cash shop can help give you a considerable edge, they’re not necessary at all so you’ll be able to fare just fine with or without cash shop items.
