Buy crops, plant them and harvest so you can sell them for profit.
Use your earnings to buy more land, or to customize your house.
Take your time in this game – it’s as close to life as you can imagine.
Real farming is what you can experience with this amazing Portuguese-produced game, Happy Harvest.
First off, you need to find the game’s App Page on Facebook. Don’t be surprised if you find it another name too. It’s basically just a translation of the game’s name into the Portuguese language. You could also find it in that language as well instead of English, but the game’s mechanics are so intuitive that you’d probably need nothing more than a few minutes to acclimate yourself to the game.
Okay, the first thing that you’ll find when you enter the game’s world is that you have a large plot of land to work with. Most of it is green, which means it hasn’t been plowed and made ready for farming yet. You do have around five plots of land that are ready for farming, and it is there that you will plant your first crops.
Also, there’s already one plant that’s ready for harvesting. It’s a radish. Hover your pointer over it and it will turn to a hand. Click on the plant, and the game will automatically harvest it for you. It will automatically go to your inventory. Meanwhile, the plot is ready to be plowed, and then crops can be planted onto it.
Planting is just one step of the process, of course. You’ll have to take care of the growing plants, which have varied germination times that you’ll have to wait out before you can harvest them. You’d have to water them, and then apply some fertilizers.
Just like gardening and agriculture in real life, doing so will decrease the plant’s germination time so you can harvest them quicker than what is indicated in the progress bar.
You wonder why there are so many plots of land that you cannot plow or work on just yet. You’ll have to pay in order to expand into those plots, but the price can be quite expensive for someone who’s just started into the game. So, use the plots that have been made available to you produce crops that you can sell.
Save the in-game cash up and you’ll be able to expand in no time.
Aside from planting and selling crops, you can also decorate your own house in the game. You can do this by purchasing decors from the store. They’re also a bit expensive, so you’ll have to save up first before you can do that. It won’t take you long to achieve the cash flow that you need to start customizing your house, however.
Because it is a Facebook-based game, there is, of course, the social aspect of it. You can visit your friends’ farm and help them out with what tasks they might have for you, like harvesting crops.
If there are but two words to describe Happy Harvest, they would be “simple” and “engaging.” The cost of buying extra plots of land, as well as customizing your own home, is challenging enough to keep on playing the game just so you can bring your plans to fruition. Happy Harvest Resumo
